Mark Stein

Houston Texans NFL Team Columnist

Mark SteinMark Stein has been writing for NFL Draft Dog since April, 2008 and is currently the NFL Draft Dog beat writer for the Houston Texans. Mark has been a fan of pro football since 1970. Although his athletic talents were not found in football in high school, his love of the game never waned. His first favorite team was the Cincinnati Bengals, as he lived in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to Houston in ’71, and became a devoted Houston Oiler fan. (He has absolutely no interest in the Tennessee Titans.) Mark is now a devoted Houston Texans fan, and season ticket holder. He has followed the team closely since the day Houston was announced as the 32nd franchise.

Mark is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Radio-Television, and currently resides in Spring, Texas. Although he has no formal journalism training, he did dominate his 2nd grade spelling bee, and repeated as champ in the 3rd grade. His letters to the editor can be found in the local newspaper, and his voice is often heard on the Houston sports radio shows as “Stein on a mobile.”
