Brian Schiller

Brian SchillerBrian Schiller has been a Minnesota Vikings columnist for NFL Draft Dog since November 2007.

He has a BA and MLA from Temple University in Philadelphia.  At Temple, Brian was involved in the radio station, WRTI, and worked as a sports writer, announcer, beat reporter for the Woman's Volleyball team, and board engineer for men's basketball games.  During his tenure at WRTI, Brian distinguished himself with his unique talent and style for announcing, becoming a local ratings favorite. Indeed, Brian's popular Monday Night Football picks segment on the "Jim and Bennet Show" was an unprecedented mainstay for two years straight.

Following college, Brian moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and comedy writing.  His first gig was as a freelance writer for the Dennis Miller Show (HBO) in 1996.  He followed this up by doing feature length script rewrites / punch-up for Tracey Reiner (Penny Marshall's and Rob Reiner's daughter).  Brian's feature length screenplay, Cult Guys, took second prize at the prestigious No Dance Film Festival's screenwriting contest in Park City, Utah, 1999.

More recently, Brian has directed a short film trailer (www.myspace.com/tmsldoc) made with a grant from the American Occupational Therapy Association.  The film, about a man with a rare neurological disorder, outlines his attempt to overcome his many disabilities and make a life for himself.
